1What are cookies?#
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels. Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (2022:482) and the EU ePrivacy Directive, such information may only be stored or read with your consent – except where it is necessary to deliver a service you have explicitly requested.
2The blixtflow.com website#
The website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We use no analytics tool, no advertising or retargeting pixels and no embedded third-party services. Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server.
Like all web servers, ours receives technical information such as IP address and browser when you visit. It is used only to deliver the page and protect it against abuse, and is kept for at most 30 days. Read more in the privacy policy.
3The Blixtflow service#
When you sign in to Blixtflow, cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work are used. They do not require consent.
| Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session | Keeps you signed in between pages | Until you sign out or the session expires after inactivity |
| Security (CSRF) | Protects forms against forged requests | Session |
| Account connection | Links your sign-in at Google, Microsoft or Meta to your account (SameSite=Lax) | A few minutes |
| Trusted device | Remembers that you chose “Trust this device for 30 days” in two-step verification | 30 days |
The cookies are marked Secure and HttpOnly where possible and are not used for tracking or advertising. The mobile app uses no cookies – the sign-in is stored encrypted in the phone’s secure storage.
4The chat on our customers’ websites#
Blixtflow’s chat widget may appear on our customers’ websites. When a visitor starts a chat, the widget stores a random ID in the browser’s storage so that the conversation remains when the visitor changes page. This is necessary for the service the visitor has requested. The widget is not used for tracking or advertising.
If the customer enables features that show campaigns based on the visitor’s behaviour on the website, the customer, as controller, is responsible for informing visitors and obtaining consent where required.
5How to manage cookies#
6Changes#
If we ever start using cookies that require consent, for example for analytics, we will ask you first and update this policy before then.
